First Tank verdict. The aquarist waits because empty water has no bacteria yet. Living Oceans says the system is established from day one — animals still travel separately so you finish hardware first.

Living Oceans source: two-step delivery pages + “fully established upon delivery.” Aquarist source: fishless cycle, 4–6 weeks, test kits.

Normal aquarist answerLiving Oceans answer
When animals go inWhen ammonia and nitrite read zero. Usually weeks. After setup is finished and the checklist is back. Not on the first truck.
